Soccer Game Preview: Olympus vs. Brighton

The Olympus Titans will square off against the Brighton Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Olympus is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Skyline on Wednesday. The Titans fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Olympus have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Brighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 5-2 to Alta. While losing is never fun, Brighton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Alta are ranked third).

Olympus' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Brighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Olympus took their win against Brighton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Bengals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
