You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Sound Christian's strategy against North Beach on Friday. The Sound Christian Lions took down the North Beach Hyaks 37-21. The victory was just business as usual for the Lions, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Sound Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Mesler, who posted 18 points and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Mesler has scored at least a third of Sound Christian's points. Piper Timmer was another key player, putting up six points and 12 rebounds.

Sound Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for North Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
