Preview: Logan/Palco vs. Triplains/Brewster Titans
Logan/Palco is 6-0 against Triplains/Brewster since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Logan/Palco will look to defend their home court against the Triplains/Brewster Titans at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Logan/Palco won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 60-36 defeat at the hands of Rawlins County. While losing is never fun, Logan/Palco can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Rawlins County is ranked 96th).
The match pitted two key players against one another: Lylah Voss and Tayten Dewey. Dewey had a great game and scored 14 points along with seven assists and two steals. Meanwhile, Voss did her best for the losing side, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Triplains/Brewster suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-21 loss at the hands of Wallace County. Triplains/Brewster has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Logan/Palco has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Triplains/Brewster, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Logan/Palco against Triplains/Brewster in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 53-15 win. With Logan/Palco ahead 29-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
