Basketball Recap: Killingly Gets the Win

While Killingly didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 44-38 victory over the Woodstock Academy Centaurs on Wednesday. The 44-point effort marked the Redmen's lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Killingly and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Woodstock Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Killingly will head out to square off against New London at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. New London will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Killingly surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodstock Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge East Lyme at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
