Upper Merion Area is a perfect 10-0 against Pottstown since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Pottstown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Upper Merion Area, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Upper Merion Area had just enough and edged out Upper Perkiomen 3-2.
Tristan Fanning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Upper Merion Area is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on John Tomsho, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one double. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Cole Wellington was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.
Upper Merion Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Upper Perkiomen only posted a batting average of .174.
Meanwhile, Pottstown lost 9-1 to Norristown on Friday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pottstown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Pallay, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Pallay's first of the season. Another was Evan Draucker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Pottstown's loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Upper Merion Area, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Everything went Upper Merion Area's way against Pottstown in their previous matchup back in April, as Upper Merion Area made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
