            Softball Recap: Paulding County Patriots vs. South Cobb Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Paulding County got themselves on the board against South Cobb on Thursday, but South Cobb never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp  15-0 win. The Patriots have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.
 Ella Puckett was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in August of 2024.

 In other batting news,  Kylee Stancil and  Sammy Jo Doyal did most of the damage at the plate:  Stancil  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  Doyal  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  Stancil a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emeryson Gray, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Paulding County  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. They are 3-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Paulding County's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for South Cobb,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paulding County will venture away from home to  square off against Murray County  at 11:30  a.m.  on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Cobb, they will head out on the road to  take on  Osborne  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
