Football Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland entered their game against Forest on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rangers were dealt a 41-3 defeat at the hands of the Bearcats. The contest marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Zae'Lon Beverly threw for 29 yards on three of six attempts.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland will host East Rankin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Forest, they will be playing at home against Morton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
