Volleyball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Falls to Dominion Christian in First Game of Season

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Dominion Christian Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 15-10.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bree Benich, who had 12 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Rogers, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Dominion Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against St. Francis on the 9th. As for Dominion Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Holy Innocents Episcopal on the 9th.
