Softball Game Preview: Centerville Bulldogs vs. Lapel Bulldogs

Centerville will face off against Lapel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Centerville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Centerville fell victim to Northeastern and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 22, 2025.

Meanwhile, while Lapel put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Madison-Grant. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Argylls. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Argylls: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jama Everman, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Elizabeth Connelly was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lapel's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Centerville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
