Basketball Recap: San Marcos' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

San Marcos had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Johnson Jaguars by a score of 68-58 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-54 back in December of 2024.

San Marcos' win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Johnson, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

San Marcos will challenge Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three matches. As for Johnson, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Johnson Jaguars face off against the Canyon Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Johnson likes a good challenge.
