Softball Recap: Waxahachie Takes a Loss

Waxahachie and Midway squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Waxahachie had to settle for second. They lost 22-5 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Waxahachie's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Midway, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

While Waxahachie had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
