Basketball Game Preview: Moon Valley Rockets vs. Thunderbird Titans

Moon Valley hasn't had much luck against Thunderbird recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Moon Valley Rockets will take on the Thunderbird Titans at 5:30 p.m.

Moon Valley lost 51-26 to Apollo on Friday.

Despite the loss, Moon Valley saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aniston Pattershall posted eight points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jayde Hooey, who scored six points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thunderbird, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 44-18 margin over Shadow Mountain on Thursday.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Thunderbird, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Moon Valley beat Thunderbird 51-41 when the teams last played on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moon Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
