Soccer Game Preview: Tri-County vs. Cherokee

The Tri-County Jaguars will venture away from home to face off against the Cherokee Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri-County has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tri-County lost 5-1 to Highlands on Thursday. Tri-County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Cherokee's offense. They came up short against Swain County on Monday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Cherokee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Swain County are ranked 166th).

Tri-County's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Cherokee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
