Basketball Recap: Savion Bassil's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miami Beach over Jewish Culture

On Tuesday, the Miami Beach Hi-Tides were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 48-44 to the Jewish Culture Lions. The Hi-Tides have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Hi-Tides players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Savion Bassil, who posted 14 points. Shirpsen Jean was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Jewish Culture, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Miami Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-49 victory against Coral Park on the 9th. As for Jewish Culture, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-48 win against David Posnack Jewish Day on the 9th.
