Basketball Recap: Hebrew Academy Gets the Win

Hebrew Academy's game on Wednesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 43-38 victory over the Horeb Christian Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Gonzalez, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Roman, who posted ten points.

Hebrew Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Horeb Christian, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hebrew Academy will take on Sheridan Hills Christian on Tuesday. As for Horeb Christian, they will face off against Cushman on Monday. Horeb Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.
