Basketball Recap: Whitehaven Victorious

Whitehaven won against Pebblebrook on Saturday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. George's Gryphons, sneaking past 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since December 22, 2025.

St. George's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Crump, who shot 41% from the field on his way to 20 points and six boards. That was a full 33.9% of the Gryphons' points, marking the third time in a row Crump has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Richmond, who earned nine points and six rebounds.

Whitehaven is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for St. George's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Whitehaven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-47 win against Overton on the 6th. As for St. George's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-28 victory against Pleasant View on the 6th.
