Basketball Recap: Deltona Comes Up Short

Deltona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 74-59 bruising from the International Community Comets.

International Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paxton Boaz, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten assists. Boaz's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Ezekiel Manzano was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine boards.

Deltona's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for International Community, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Deltona won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eustis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 65.5 points per game this season. As for International Community, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Crooms Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
