Baseball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart blew Smithton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Smithton got their revenge. The Gremlins fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the Gremlins couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Sacred Heart's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Smithton, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Sacred Heart has already played their next match (against Russellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Smithton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Otterville on the 26th.
