Basketball Recap: Menard Takes a Loss

Menard won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They lost 63-37 to the Robert Lee Steers. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1400th, while the Steers are ranked 436th).

Menard has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Robert Lee, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

When Menard and Robert Lee next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Menard will try to stop Eden's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Robert Lee will try to stop Water Valley's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
