Baseball Game Recap: Monson Mustangs vs. Granby Rams

Monson was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Granby on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rams a 12-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the game before.

Monson's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Granby, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monson will venture away from home to face off against South Hadley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granby, they will head out to square off against Ludlow at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
