Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland lost against Narrows back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The matchup between the Highland Rams and the Narrows Green Waves didn't end well, with the Highland Rams falling 63-46. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Narrows to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Holmes, who went 8 of 12 en route to 22 points and four steals. Holmes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Helvey, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Narrows, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Highland has already played their next game, a 71-38 loss against Parry McCluer on the 21st. As for Narrows, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-51 win against Eastern Montgomery on the 20th.
