Basketball Recap: Liberty Common Beats Timnath for Their Third Straight Win

Liberty Common had won two straight games and Pierce Richardson did his part to make it three on Friday. The Liberty Common Eagles managed a 54-50 victory over the Timnath Cubs thanks in part to Richardson, who went 10 of 14 on his way to 23 points and four steals. Richardson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season.

Several Cubs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Jacobson, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Yoch, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Liberty Common pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Liberty Common will square off against Estes Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timnath, they and Northridge will meet on Wednesday for a tough Bear Battle.
