Volleyball Recap: Saguaro's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Saguaro and ALA - Queen Creek squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Saguaro had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Sabercats haven't been shut out since back in September.

Saguaro was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made ALA - Queen Creek work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-17.

ALA - Queen Creek can attribute much of their success to Mckenna Kehoe, who had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Kehoe a new career-high.

With the loss, Saguaro broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-12. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Saguaro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they will face off against Ironwood Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
