Baseball Game Preview: Globe Tigers vs. Seton Catholic Sentinels

The Globe Tigers will square off against the Seton Catholic Sentinels at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Globe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Globe took on Ray on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 5-4. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaeger Franco was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Globe: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most two hits, but 5-10 otherwise. Franco was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Franco wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Corban Bejarano, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Braden Wager was another, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Gilbert Christian hit Seton Catholic with a five-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Sentinels fell 5-2 to the Knights.

Seton Catholic also got a good showing from Drew Campagna, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
