Baseball Recap: Whitmer Takes a Loss

Whitmer lost to Findlay on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 6-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitmer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mitchell Rose, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Anthony Leroux, who earned two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Whitmer's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Findlay, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Whitmer and Findlay should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 137th) will meet Bowling Green (ranked 331st) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Findlay will face off against Elmwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (61 vs. 453).
