Middletown won the last time they faced Cloverdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs blew past the Eagles, posting a 46-16 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Trenton Griffith went supernova, rushing for 123 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, while also catching one TD. Another rusher making a difference was Tyler Galamay, who rushed for 95 yards on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Middletown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cloverdale only rushed for 160 rushing yards.
