The Fairfield Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Florin Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Fairfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Johnson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Karli Robinson put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 33 runs the game before, Florin was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Johnson, falling 20-0. The shutout was out of character for the Panthers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Fairfield's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Florin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Fairfield got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Florin by a conclusive 26-0 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
