Freer is 8-2 against Premont since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Buckaroos will take on the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Freer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Freer had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt La Villa on Monday. The Buckaroos blew past the Cardinals 15-2. The Buckaroos haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Brody Ramirez and Trestin Guerra did most of the damage at the plate: Ramirez scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Guerra scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Guerra has posted since back in February. Isaac Gonzales was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Freer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Premont unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They came up short against La Villa, falling 21-3. Cowboys fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cardinals since two weeks ago.

Premont's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8. As for Freer, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Freer couldn't quite finish off Premont in their previous matchup back in March and fell 9-7. Can the Buckaroos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
