Baseball Recap: Auburn Mountainview Takes a Loss

Auburn Mountainview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Federal Way Eagles. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Auburn Mountainview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Weatherford, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Auburn Mountainview now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Federal Way, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Auburn Mountainview is set to square off against their familiar foe White River at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Federal Way will face off against rival Kentlake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.3, the Falcons 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
