Wellington has gone a perfect 5-0 against Quanah recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Skyrockets are taking a road trip to take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Wellington will be strutting in after a win while Quanah will be coming in after a loss.

Wellington will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points back in September, then bounced right back against Clarendon on Friday. The Skyrockets claimed a resounding 48-6 victory over the Broncos. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Skyrockets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Broncos are ranked 1128th).

Meanwhile, Quanah fell victim to Wheeler and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 49-0. The Indians have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Wellington's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.2 points this season. As for Quanah, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Wellington against Quanah when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skyrockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
