Baseball Recap: Las Lomas Knights vs. Concord Minutemen        
        
		
            
 If Las Lomas was riding high  off their  12-2 takedown of Concord last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Las Lomas Knights took  a  4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Concord Minutemen on Thursday. Las Lomas was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Concord apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played.
 Las Lomas got a good showing from  Alessandro Martinez-Cabrera, who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side, Las Lomas saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Daniel Downes, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base.
 Las Lomas' loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Concord, their victory  ended  a  seven-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-14.
 Las Lomas will head out on the road to  square off against  Encinal at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Concord, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against De Anza at 4:00  p.m.
