Broomfield is 9-0-1 against Horizon since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. This will be Broomfield's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Max Marchi was the only thing that stood between the Eagles and a shutout considering he scored both of the Eagles' goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Horizon was not quite Rocky Mountain's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos. That's two games in a row now that Horizon have lost by exactly two goals.

With that draw, Broomfield's record moves to 5-3-2. As for Horizon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 2-7-1 record this season.

Broomfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Horizon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
