Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Westbrook's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Westbrook picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 54-42 win over the Tahoka Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Jaxson Browne was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 13 boards. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Cole Rich was another key player, putting up three points and seven boards.

Westbrook has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Tahoka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Westbrook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-34 loss against Valley on the 28th. As for Tahoka, they will face off against New Home at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Home will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Tahoka surely won't give up without a fight.
