Bishop Carroll had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-12 to make it 12. They came up short against the Bedford Bisons, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bisons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 back in March.

As for Bedford, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

For Bedford's part, Emily Pratt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
