Basketball Game Preview: Fellowship Academy Mustangs vs. Covenant Classical Cavaliers

The Fellowship Academy Mustangs will challenge the Covenant Classical Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fellowship Academy has eight straight wins, Covenant Classical has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Fellowship Academy humbled Weatherford Christian with a 55-23 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 19-19 at halftime, Covenant Classical was not quite Oakridge's equal in the second half last Thursday. They fell 31-23 to the Owls. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Owls 15-9 in the first quarter.

Fellowship Academy pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points per game. As for Covenant Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Fellowship Academy against Covenant Classical in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 51-21 win. Does Fellowship Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Covenant Classical turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
