Baseball Recap: Hillside Takes a Loss

Hillside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Chapel Hill Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-6 loss on Tuesday.

Quamay Palmer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Hillside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for East Chapel Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Hillside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Chapel Hill on the 25th. As for East Chapel Hill, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Riverside-Durham on the 22nd.
