Tallulah Academy won the last time they faced River Oaks and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp  9-2 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Trojans.
 JT McDaniel and  Luke Moberley made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound,  McDaniel   kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Moberley   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At bat,  McDaniel  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs, while  Moberley  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Moberley has posted since back in February of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Charlie Vining was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tripp Gayle, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
 Tallulah Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .622. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Tallulah Academy's record now sits at 2-3. As for River Oaks, their loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tallulah Academy will face off against Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for River Oaks, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crossett at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 14th.
