Basketball Recap: Moran Comes Up Short

Moran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Strawn Greyhounds, falling 70-14. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-12 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Moran lost, don't look at Ellis Hise. Despite the final result, he posted ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Hise has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Moran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Strawn, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-10.

Moran will challenge Baird at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Strawn, they will square off against Eula at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
