Van Buren is 7-1 against Vanlue since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Van Buren Black Knights will face off against the Vanlue Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Van Buren is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Van Buren came up short against Liberty Center and fell 38-26.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vanlue). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Waite 60-32. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Van Buren's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Vanlue, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Van Buren strolled past Vanlue in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 45-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Van Buren since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
