Basketball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

Arlington lost against Bartlett back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arlington Tigers were beaten by the Bartlett Panthers 59-17. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Zaria Moss was Arlington's leading scorer, having posted five points. Jenna Miller took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Samiya Jones was the offensive standout of the match as she made all 5 shots she took racking up 11 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Kendall Lewis was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Arlington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Bartlett, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

Arlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-43 victory against Germantown on the 11th. As for Bartlett, they have also already played their next match, a 52-49 loss against Collierville on the 11th.
