Softball Recap: Lyons Takes a Loss

Lyons was the 3-2 winner over Oak Park-River Forest when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 10-5 to the Huskies on Wednesday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lyons saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julia Ahrens, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lyons' loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Oak Park-River Forest, their record is now 21-8.

Looking ahead, Lyons will challenge York at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Dukes will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Glenbard West on the 15th.
