Football Recap: Amherst Comes Up Short

Amherst was the 25-24 winner over Hershey when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncos fell 22-14 to the Panthers on Friday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Amherst took the loss, they still got scores from Easton Mallack and Mason Trampe.

Amherst's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hershey, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amherst will head out to face off against Valentine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hershey, they will venture away from home to challenge Gordon-Rushville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
