Baseball Recap: Archbishop Shaw Comes Up Short

Archbishop Shaw suffered their biggest loss since March 3rd on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Holy Cross Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Archbishop Shaw saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Percle, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Archbishop Shaw now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Holy Cross, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Shaw will host Northshore at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Northshore will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Archbishop Shaw surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holy Cross, they will challenge Warren Easton at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
