Volleyball Recap: Flambeau Has No Trouble Against Mercer

Flambeau hadn't done well against Mercer recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers. The Falcons were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Tigers, so the Falcons were just returning the favor.

Flambeau never let Mercer on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 28-26.

Mercer's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryley Saarnio, who had nine kills and one assist. Kacee Chaney was another key player, getting seven kills and four digs.

Flambeau's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Mercer, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-24.

Flambeau has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Prentice on the 23rd. Mercer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
