Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Alamance Stallions vs. Southwest Onslow Stallions

Two dominant guards in Davian Edwards and Rue Chapman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Southeast Alamance will venture away from home to square off against Southwest Onslow at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Southeast Alamance is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They really took it to Midway for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-49 victory. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th in North Carolina, while the Raiders are ranked 276th in North Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Southwest Onslow had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 83-40.

Southwest Onslow's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.2 points. As for Southeast Alamance, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
