Softball Game Preview: Saint Jo Panthers vs. Perrin-Whitt Pirates

The Saint Jo Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Perrin-Whitt Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Jo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Saint Jo played against Bryson on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Perrin-Whitt came up short against Saint Jo last Thursday, falling 35-20. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 11-3 in the first period.

Saint Jo's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Perrin-Whitt, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4.

Everything went Saint Jo's way against Perrin-Whitt in their previous matchup last Thursday, as Saint Jo made off with a 35-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
