Football Game Preview: West Deptford Eagles vs. Haddonfield Bulldawgs

The West Deptford Eagles will square off against the Haddonfield Bulldawgs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (West Deptford 7, Haddonfield 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.

Haddonfield will be up against a hot West Deptford squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Eagles took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 29-0 win over Audubon. This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Cole Paskiewicz and Zamir Davis. Paskiewicz rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries while Davis rushed for 126 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. Those 121 rushing yards gave Paskiewicz a new career-high.

One reason for the win was West Deptford's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Al Dayrell was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Haddonfield's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Pleasantville by a score of 6-3.

West Deptford's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Haddonfield, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. West Deptford has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 310.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Haddonfield, though, as they've been averaging only 92.6 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
