John Paul II had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 7-0 to the First Baptist School Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Warrriors of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

John Paul II has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Northwood Academy on the 11th. As for First Baptist School, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Hilton Head Christian Academy on the 12th.
