See the video above for a complete breakdown of this week's Xcellent 25 High School Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Here's a look at developments that shaped this week's Top 25:

In 2017, Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia) knocked off Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.), on its home floor, to take home the title at the Montverde Academy Invitational.

Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) was on the verge of repeating the feat Saturday until Georgia Tech pledge Mike Devoe hit a three at the buzzer to give top-ranked Montverde Academy a 69-67 win.

Devoe led all scorers in the Top 10 showdown with 26 points.

Findlay Prep had a strong showing in the event despite picking up its third loss of the year. The Pilots beat previously unbeaten Shadow Mountain (Phoenix) 83-74, staving off a furious second-half comeback from the Matadors.

DC-area schools dominate NJ/DC Collision

The Washington Catholic Athletic Conference dominated national competition again this weekend as Top 15 teams Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.), Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) and DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) all picked up quality wins in an event that pitted the best of the WCAC against the best from New Jersey.

Paul VI took down Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.) 65-62, Gonzaga defeated Immaculate Conception (Montclair, N.J.) 68-57 and DeMatha beat Patrick School (Hillside, N.J.) 79-69.

The three WCAC big dogs are a combined 32-3 in out-of-conference play, including wins over Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.), Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.), Huntington St. Joseph Prep (Huntington, W. Va.), Imhotep Charter, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.), Meadowcreek (Norcross, Ga.), Oak Ridge (Orlando, Fla.) and Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.).

St. James Invitational preview

Next week's rankings will be shaped by another stacked tournament headlined by three Top 25 schools in St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.), Findlay Prep and Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.).

The 32nd St. James Invitational begins Thursday and runs through Saturday Maryland. The eight-team field also includes St. James (Hagerstown, Md.), Vashon (St. Louis), Our Savior New American (Centereach, N.Y.), Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Md.) and Benedictine (Richmond, Va.).

Unbeaten St. Benedict's Prep faces its toughest stretch of the season with Vashon in the opening round and a potential showdown with Findlay Prep or Sunrise Christian.
