Basketball Game Preview: Tift County Blue Devils vs. Veterans Warhawks

The Tift County Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Veterans Warhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tift County will be strutting in after a win while Veterans will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, Tift County escaped with a win against Lowndes by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tift County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaden Lawson, who went 6 of 9 en route to 12 points. JJ Lamar was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Veterans was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 62-57 to Northside. The Warhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tift County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Veterans, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

Everything went Tift County's way against Veterans when the teams last played back in January, as Tift County made off with a 63-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tift County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
